According to recent data from AAA, Michigan drivers need to be extra careful this year when it comes to hitting a deer while driving.

As a Michigan driver myself and spending 1/2 of my life in the great frozen tundra known as the great Northern Michigan, swerving to avoid deer is just part of living in the mitten state. Now thanks to statistics, its a fact that Michigan holds the #2 spot for highest chance of hitting Bambi (or Bucky?) in the country.

Living in Michigan, you have a 1 in 85 chance of hitting a deer. Now that may not seem like a lot, but those chances are up 14% compared to last year.

The number 1 spot goes goes West Virginia in which you have a 1 in 41 chance of hitting a deer while driving.
