Michigan Lawmaker Fatally Shoots Herself In the Face Adjusting Bra Holster

Women who like to pack heat in a bra holster might want to consider this cautionary tale before trying to adjust that rascal with a loaded pistol.

Michigan law enforcement officials report that a Republican lawmaker fatally shot herself in the face earlier this year while struggling to tweak her bra holster. A report from The Associated Press indicates that 55-year-old Christina Bond died when a single gunshot struck her in the eye.

Apparently, officers and EMT's were called out to her home on New Year's Day in response to a gunshot wound. Bond was transported to a nearby hospital where she died the following day. “She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to. She was looking down and it accidentally discharged the weapon,” said St. Joseph Public Safety Director Mark Clapp.

A complete autopsy is expected to be released sometime later this week, but officials do not suspect foul play.
