Ben Hall is a police officer in Emmett Township, Michigan and instead of ticketing a young mother for not having a car seat, he decided open his own wallet.

Hall had pulled over a car for a traffic violation when he noticed that the driver had her young daughter buckled in the back with no car seat.

This could have spelled big trouble for the young mom, considering she would have ended up with multiple tickets.

She explained to Officer Hall that she just didn't have the money for a car seat.

Hall decided that instead of giving a ticket to add onto the moms problems, he would take her to the store and buy her a seat out of his own pocket.

Salute to Officer Hall for following his job description to the letter, then going above and beyond to make sure the people he protects are safe! The world could use many more like you Officer Hall.

The one thing that needs to be said though, is that there is really no reason your child should be without a car seat.  With all of the resale websites out there, and groups offering assistance, you can find a way to keep your child safe.  What this policeman did is exceptional, but I can't help but think the mom really didn't go to great lengths to actually find a car seat.
