Michigan State fans did not get the Christmas gift they were looking for late Wednesday night as Coach Mark Dantonio announced that Senior Captain Max Bullough was suspended for The Rose Bowl.

The details around Bullough's suspension are very scarce right now, with Dantonio saying only that it was a violation of team rules.

Whatever the rules are, they were serious enough for Max to not be included on the trip to Pasadena while the Spartans get ready for their first Rose Bowl in 26 years.

Bullough had made 40 consecutive starts prior to the suspension, and is no doubt crushed by what has happened.

This is basically a huge lump of coal in Spartan's fans stockings as they were preparing for the Rose Bowl.
