Michigan State Will Ban Smoking On Campus For Upcoming School Year
Smokers are going to be out of luck in East Lansing this year after Michigan State's new smoking ban goes into effect.
The ban covers all tobacco products, which isn't much of a change from the restrictions currently in place.
The big change is that now all vaporizers, E-cigs, and hookas are also banned from the campus.
University officials say the ban is a matter of public health. Sparty smokers will face punishments ranging from a written warning to a suspension. Complaints against employees would go through human resources.
The ban goes into place August 15th.
