Traffic related deaths in Michigan were up 10% last year, but the biggest rise in fatalities dealt with people riding on two wheels.

According to the Michigan Crash Report, the biggest spike in deaths came from bicyclists, and motorcyclists.

Bike fatalities rose 57% in 2015, while motorcycle fatalities were up 29% over the 2014 numbers.

Considering this was a fairly mild winter for Michigan, it's even more concerning to see the spike in traffic deaths.

Teen drivers, and alcohol related accidents also played a role in the higher fatality numbers.

Let's work together to do everything we can to see a significant drop in that number for 2016.
