After the Golden Globe Awards, one reporter asked the two-time victorious Childish Gambino if he wanted to collaborate with the Migos after he shouted them out during his acceptance speech. Gambino basically said he was down, and now the Migos have too.

During a recent interview with TMZ, Offset explained that the Migos had already discussed working with Gambino when they filmed their parts for an episode of Atlanta. "When we did the episode I went ahead and told him, 'We gotta get in the studio after this,'" he said. "'We gon' start something. We gon' keep building an empire with this. We might as well get in the studio.' He was also with it." A few moments later, Offset confirmed that a Migos and Childish Gambino collaboration is definitely on the way.

Offset might have been on to something when he said that the Migos and Gambino were building an empire. After Gambino shouted-out the rap group during his first Golden Globe Award acceptance speech, "Bad and Boujee" had a 243 percent increase in streams, becoming the number one song in the country.

During a post-Golden Globe press conference, Gambino compared the Migos to a legendary rock group. “I think they’re the Beatles of this generation, and they don’t get a lot of respect, I think, outside of like Atlanta,” he said. “There’s a generation, sort of like the YouTube generation that I kind of came up with, there’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that is completely separate from a whole group of people. And honestly, that song’s just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

There seems to be a lot of mutual admiration between the Migos and Gambino. Let's just hope they get us a collab sooner rather than later.
