Paul Aguirre has spent the last seven months in Afghanistan, but on Monday he was able to surprise his 6 year old son and 5 year old daughter before an Arizona Diamondbacks game.

Aguirre's kids Jackson, 6, and Alanna, 5, threw out ceremonial first pitches before the game to a man they thought was a Diamondbacks player.

As they walked toward the plate after throwing strikes, Paul removed the mask showing his kids that he was actually the catcher.  Both kids ran to him as the entire stadium was caught up in the emotions of the event.

The best part is that Alanna told her dad that she knew it was him the whole time!

“I was surprised,” Jackson said.  “I was thinking 'That’s Daddy, when the mask was even on you,' " Alanna told her father.
