Miss Michigan Emily Sioma Blasts Michigan’s Water Issues During Miss America Intro

Emily Sioma represented Michigan at the Miss America pageant this weekend, and made a big splash with comments about the drinking water in Michigan.

When Emily stepped up to the mic to introduce herself, instead of talking about her hobbies or accomplishments, she dropped a truth bomb on the crowd.

From the state with 84% of the U.S. fresh water, but none for it's residents to drink, I am Miss Michigan Emily Sioma

I can only imagine that the judges, Governor Snyder, and everyone else responsible for the Flint Water Crisis were sitting at home like . . .

The sad news is that Emily did not advance to the final 15 in the pageant, but she was clearly the winner.

Other than her statement, the Miss America 2.0 reboot was not well received. Salute to Emily for using her platform to say what's right.

Reminds me of someone else that used his platform to bring awareness to a huge problem in our country. For some weird reason, his protest was not as well received.
