National Walking Day is coming to Flint tomorrow and for some reason I am excited about it.  I really don't know why I am excited about walking but you know ya boy is all about getting healthy.  I will be heading downtown tomorrow to get my walk on and hand out some prizes for people walking around.

The walk will start at the new Rowe building where the Flint Journal is currently located.  From the sounds of things this should be fun with prizes and smiles.  People will be walking to bring awareness to good cardiovascular health.  Walking can bring good health for you heart so lets get it in.

The downtown Flint festivities are being hosted by The Flint Journal/MLive Media Group along with The Spencer Agency, Buckham Gallery, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Crim Fitness Foundation.

The official walk starts at noon at The Journal's new offices, 540 S. Saginaw St. in the Rowe Building, and winds through the University of Michigan-Flint and Cultural Center campuses. Walkers will get free gifts along the way.

The event is free and open to the public.
