Downtown Flint will have an exclusive new trolley service starting Thursday January 12th.

The amazing part about this new trolley is that it's absolutely free to ride!

The service is a joint project with Kettering, U of M Flint, the Flint DDA, Diplomat Pharmacy, and the MTA all playing a role in launching the trolley.  The goal is that more people will begin to explore the hidden gems of downtown Flint.

So far, here is everything we know about the operation of the new trolley.

  • The Trolley will run Thursday thru Saturday
  • Hours of operation are Thursday 4pm-12am / Friday 4pm-12am / Saturday 11am - 12am.
  • Stops include City Hall, Soggy Bottom Bar, Tenacity Brewing, Flint Farmers Market, U of M Flint, Kettering University, and more to be announced.

The schedule could be expanded if there proves to be a greater need for the trolley.  For now, all of the details will be given at a kick off event happening this week.

The trolley will be introduced to the public on Thursday January 12th at the Dryden Building in Flint.  The event will happen at 4pm, just before the trolley makes its maiden voyage.
