New Hotel Coming To Mundy Township

A date has been set to begin work on a new hotel in Mundy Township. The $16 Million project will bring a four-story, 106-room Hyatt Place Hotel to the Hill Road area in Mundy Township. The new hotel will be on Hill 23 drive, closer to Meijer and on the opposite side of US 23 than the Holiday Inn Gateway Center.

The new Hyatt Place will not only feature 106 rooms, but will also have a business center, indoor pool, fitness room, bar/lounge, outdoor patio, and a 1,400 square foot meeting room.

If you think about it, we don't really have that many hotels in our area. A new place for friends and family to stay while in town will be a nice addition to Genesee County. According to MLive, the groundbreaking will take place on May 17th. The hotel plans to open in the summer of 2019 and employ 20 to 30 people.
