With big changes coming to the Motor City including the Detroit Pistons moving to downtown, the new QLine streetcar, and more, its good to see Detroit finally get some love.

New York Times put together a list of the '52 Places to Go in 2017' and Detroit made it in the top 10! This isn't just a top list of places in America, but all over the world!

The Motor City comes in at #9 out of 52, right behind Tijuana, Mexico. The New York Times focused on the improvements like the QLine streetcar and new stadium as reasons to visit Detroit. We as Michiganders can think of at least a dozen other reasons to come to Detroit other than a new people mover and a stadium, but you gotta give credit to the New York Times for showing love to a once broken city.

Now although Detroit has gone through its ups and downs over the years, but picking apart at what is wrong with Michigan's biggest city doesn't keep the Motor City moving forward. Its really great to see Detroit grow and be recognized for its accomplishments and places to visit.
