After months of relative silence, Nicki Minaj emerged from the quiet to announce that she was dropping two new singles today, "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz."

Now that the singles have arrived, of course, social media is on fire, dissecting lyrics, and generally excited that Queen Barbz has returned—and she's clearly on a mission. It's rumored that she even freestyled most of "Chun-Li," though she hasn't said that herself.

The singles will likely end up on her forthcoming, much-anticipated album, which she's been working on for a while, and has been intently focused on. She recently told Beats 1's Zane Lowe that the project is something "I think women really need right now."

"To be completely honest, I would say I've been...working on this album since December," she said, but clarified that "some songs were written a year and a half ago.

She also said the upcoming project is really for her fans.

"I'm just putting out two songs for my babies, because they miss me and I miss them," she said.

Clearly, her "babies" are feeling her new tracks, as Twitter erupted immediately after they dropped. You can check out Twitter reactions to "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz"—both of which have affirmatively been declared a bop, below.
