This weekend, Michael Jordan's Air Jordan 9 'Barons' will release to pay homage to his days in the minor leagues.  The legendary basketball player fell in love with baseball as a kid and tried his hand at making it big on the diamond.  Check out the shoes that commemorate his short lived baseball career.

The release date for the Air Jordan 9 'Barons' is April 5th at all Jordan Brand retailers.

The retro Air Jordan 9 feature a wolf grey and white dominated upper with the accent color of black to bring in a nice contrast.  The wolf grey nubuck mudguard divides the black midsole and white quarter paneling.  The inner lining is dressed in pinstripes while '45' is embroider on the heel instead of the traditional '23.'

MJ retired from basketball after his father was murdered and some believe baseball was his way of grieving.  He later returned back to playing basketball to win three more championships.  What are your thoughts on his upcoming retro Air Jordan release?
