Early Thursday morning, Las Vegas tourists got more excitement than they'd bargained for when booking their hotel rooms.

According to CNN, following a dispute in the parking lot of the Aria Hotel, Oakland-based rapper Kenny Clutch hopped in his Maserati sports car and was chased by a black Range Rover and subsequently shot.

When Clutch, born Kenneth Cherry Jr., was hit, his Maserati ran into the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, then it collided with a taxi, resulting in a fiery explosion.

The taxi driver, taxi passenger and Clutch all died in the fire. The passenger in the Maserati, and another three people in the resulting pileup suffered injuries, according to Las Vegas Sheriff Douglas Gillespie.

The police department is attempting to piece the occurrences together using surveillance camera video from four of the city's biggest casinos -- Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, Bally's and the Flamingo.

According to Las Vegas Police Sargent John Sheahan, the Range Rover had an out-of-state dealer plate, tinted windows and large, black rims.

While the police continue searching for the Range Rover driver, who they've proclaimed to be armed and dangerous, the sheriff issued this statement: "This act is totally unacceptable, and we are going to make a very clear message to these individuals in regards to that."
