One year ago today 8 year old Lacey Holsworth lost her battle with nerve-cell cancer. The students at Michigan State University came together today to  pay tribute to Princess Lacey.

I wanted to write an article about this story because this it's stories like this that make us break down and cry, but also brings us together. I can't imagine losing a child to cancer. I have a four year old son that I want to outlive me. I want to see him grow and turn into a great person. I want to see him get married, have kids, and live a wonderful life. For the family of Little Princess Lacey, that didn't happen.

A year ago today Lacey lost her battle to nerve-cell cancer, but her heart lives on at MSU. Students at MSU gathered today to paint The Rock at MSU campus with princesslaceyslegacy.com and #LoveLikeLacey to pay tribute to the little girl that touched everyone's heart at Michigan State University.

It's amazing to see the power of love. The students at Michigan State University never once forgot about Princess Lacey, and her legacy will live on.
