Detroit Pistons fans are smiling today because a legend is coming home, as Chauncey Billups is returning to The Palace.

The news of C-Bills return to Detroit is welcomed by fans that have barely had time to stop celebrating the Pistons signing Josh SmithYahoo Sports is reporting that the deal for Chauncey will be 2 years and about 5 million.

Billups was traded to Denver in 2008 after leading the Pistons to an NBA Championship and numerous Eastern Conference Championships.

The Pistons are obviously getting Chauncey in the twilight of his career, but nothing can compare to the energy of  having a proven, veteran winner on your bench.  He is healthy again after a year of injury with the Clippers, and will provide the on court leadership that the Pistons have lacked.
