Normally when we write about Andre Drummond, it's because the Detroit Pistons star is ruining someones day by dunking on them.  This time though it has nothing to do with huge dunks, rather his huge heart and the touching tribute to the victims of Sandy Hook that Drummond did.

Saturday was the one year anniversary of the tragedy at Sandy Hook, and while nobody has any good answers why it happened, everyone wants to honor the victims in some way.

Drummond announced over Instagram that he was going to write the names of all 26 victims on his shoes that he would be playing in that night.

Andre has close ties to Sandy Hook since he played his college basketball in Connecticut.

That's most likely why Drummond didn't stop at his shoes to honor Sandy Hook, he also donated his game jersey to the new school.

The Pistons eventually lost the game in overtime, but this is another situation that proves bigger than sports.
