The Detroit Pistons have locked Reggie Jackson in as their leader for the next five years with a huge contract.

This gives the Pistons one of the most dangerous backcourts in the NBA with Jackson finally getting to play quality minutes alongside Brandon Jennings.  Jennings seems excited about the possibilities too.

Some people think that Jackson might be a bit overpaid, considering this is one of the biggest deals the Pistons have ever signed.  There are quite a few stats to back up the money though.  During Jackson's short season with the Pistons he racked up some impressive numbers.

  • 17 points, almost 10 assists, and nearly 5 rebounds a game
  • 2 triple doubles
  • 1 game with 20 points and 20 assists.

For only playing in a quarter of the season with Detroit, those are really good numbers.

The big question for all Pistons fans is all about shots.  Will there be enough shots for Jennings, Jackson, and Drummond?  If they can find a balance, the Pistons will be a contender in the East.
