A German airliner traveling from Spain to Germany crashed Tuesday in southeastern France. All 148 people aboard are believed to be dead.

According to CNN, the plane crashed in the French Alps. French President Francois Hollande said "the conditions of the accident are not yet clear but lead us to believe there are no survivors."

The plane was an Airbus 320, owned by Germanwings. It entered service in 1988 and is considered one of the most reliable aircraft.

This is a developing story.
