Unless you like soggy socks nobody wants to be caught in a storm wearing Converse Chuck Taylor's. That is until today seeing as how Polartec has decided to beef up the simple silhouette with a bit of weatherproofing.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 1970s are the selected model but don't let that canvas upper fool you. Sandwiched between the paneling is a membrane that is waterproof, weatherproof and breathable as well allowing you to effectively wear the shoes in any weather. A Grey low top and Purple high top also give the sneakers a pop of color as well.

These are releasing to retail today (Sept. 5). and spots like Livestock will have them on shelves. Now if only they could have beefed up the insulation for winter wear ...
