It was a frantic scene Tuesday night at Flint Park Lake as crews raced to rescue a car that was most likely dumped in the lake.

Crews were scared that someone was still in the car after it plunged into the frigid water.  That was not the case, and a rescue mission quickly turned into a criminal investigation.

After a couple hours, the car was finally pulled from the water, but nobody was inside.  The car was also missing a license plate.

Police are not looking for the owner of the vehicle, to determine if this is a case of a stolen car being ditched, or possible insurance fraud.
