An airplane carrying Post Malone and 15 other passengers was forced to make an emergency landing yesterday (Aug. 21) after a tire exploded. While the rapper is now safe, he did reveal that he thought the worst could happen while in the air and sent out a mass text to his loved ones.

Speaking with TMZ, the Beerbongs & Bentleys rapper said he opted for a group text instead of a one-by-one messages, telling his friends and family that he loved them. "I just did it all in one—you know, my family and friends and stuff."

Post detailed what all went down on the flight, saying the plane was forced to land once before the emergency landing. "We took off and apparently there was a sensor in the back that like flipped out, so we landed," he said. "Then we took off again and we just heard the tire pop."

The 2018 MTV Video Music Award winner says he also saw smoke coming into the plane but credited the pilot, co-pilot and flight attendant for a safe landing. "They handled it perfect. It couldn't have gone smoother," Malone said.

The private plane took off on Aug. 21 from an airport in Teterboro, N.J. and was headed for London. The aircraft was first reported to being making an emergency landing at Westfield Barnes Regional Airport in Massachusetts but eventually landed at the Stewart International Airport in New York.
