President Barack Obama Likes Jay-z More Than Kanye West

I have the utmost respect for President Barack Obama and appreciate all that he does for the country.  I hope and pray that he gets re-elected to office later this year.  Recently, in an interview with asked to pick between Jay-z and Kanye West, the President picked Jay-z.

I would have thought he would have taken the political role and chose both of them but President Obama kept it one hundred.  We all know that Jay-z is a huge support of the President of the United States of America so I am not surprised.  I would have thought Kanye West would have been his pick due to both being from Chicago and all.  I was wrong. Kanye shrug.

“Kanye or Jay-Z?” The president smiles. “Jay-Z,” he says, as if the answer should be obvious.

“Although I like Kanye,” Obama continues, with an easy smile. “He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented.” He is displaying his larger awareness of the question, looking relaxed, cerebral but friendly, alive to the moment, waiting for me to get to the heart of the matter.

“Even though you called him a jackass?” I ask. “He is a jackass,” Obama says, in his likable and perfectly balanced modern-professorial voice. “But he’s talented.”
