Why Does Pusha T’s Album Remind Kanye West of Hell?!

When it comes to G.O.O.D. Music everything sounds so heavenly, but Pusha T‘s next solo album might remind you of eternal damnation, so thinks Kanye West.

The Virginia rapper told MTV News that when he let Yeezy listen to his project he gave one of the most interesting evaluation he has ever heard. “When it’s over, [he said], ‘Yo, you know that if you die and hear your music, you know you ended up in hell, right?’ ” recalls Pusha. “I [didn't] know how to take that. Is that a good thing to say or a bad thing to say?”

For the sake of argument, let’s just say that was a helluva compliment. Pusha T says his upcoming opus was inspired by Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino’s 1997 flick ‘The Devil’s Advocate.’ “The album is based off of that because I speak about the harsh realities of street life but there’s a lot of glitz and glamour that comes along with that,” he says.

For Yeezy, the music was so hot the devil needed some ice water. ‘He was like, ‘Damn you painted some helluva picture in this joint,’ Pusha T recalls West saying. “I was like, ‘Well I guess the streets will be happy.’ ”

The streets will definitely be happy when the G.O.O.D. Music compilation ‘Cruel Summer’ hits stores on Sept. 7.
