Q-Tip gives a tour of his home studio and record collection to reporter Gayle King of CBS News. You can view the clips above and below via YouTube.

The legendary musician shows King around his home studio in New Jersey, where artists including Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Statik Selektah and The Ramones have all worked. Q-Tip then shows CBS his incredible record collection, which consists of about 9,000 records spanning many genres. Q-Tip tells CBS he's still adding to the collection. The A Tribe Called Quest MC then shows King a whiteboard containing signatures from high-profile artists next to the tracklist for the new album We got it from Here...Thank You 4 Your Service.

Tribe's new and final album We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service drops Friday (Nov. 11). Kanye West makes a surprise appearance on track No. 11, “The Killing Season.” Other guest features include Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, Elton John, Anderson .Paak and Talib Kweli.

In other Q-Tip news, the 46-year-old Harlem native teamed up with Michelle Obama in early September to honor the fifth annual class of the National Student Poets Program at a special White House ceremony. The National Student Poets Program is America’s highest honor for 10th and 11th grade poets. Each year, the program selects a handful of standout poets who represent a different geographic region of the country.
