The Detroit Pistons have traded away one of the their few bright spots this season in Reggie Bullock.

Reports came through after the Lakers were blown out last night by the Pacers that the Pistons have agreed to send Reggie Bullock to LA for Svi Mykhailiuk. Later reports confirmed that the trade was real, and the Pistons would be getting a draft pick in the trade.

The trade makes sense for the Lakers, who need to find some outside shooting. They are young, and struggling with Lebron in and out of the lineup. Most Laker fans hoped that the trade news would be about Anthony Davis, but things have stalled there.

For the Pistons, this is the definitive sign that they have thrown in the towel on the season. Bullock was one of the few bright spots for the team this year along with Blake and Drummond.

Svi could be a good find for the Pistons, but he is just a rookie so it will be a couple of years before we find out. The odds of Detroit hanging on to him for that long are bad considering their recent history of player development. For what it's worth, Svi looked great in the summer league. Do you think that this is a move to get the Pistons better or just a play at a higher draft pick?
