Reebok recently announced they would part ties with Rick Ross. This came a week after Reebok was protested by women's rights group Ultraviolet. Was this Rick Ross' wake up call to realize he is not the only Boss?

Rick Ross really did not show much remorse for his reference to d@te r@pe, without question the twitter apology was nothing less of elementary and non objective. Reebok had no choice to let go of Ross, his lyrics sparked outrage from fans, consumers, and activist groups.

"Put molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it. I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it."

Reebok released this announcement Thursday:

"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand," the statement read. "Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone's best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross."

I am quite sure that Ultraviolet whom also brought 72k signatures demanding Reebok break ties with Rick Ross is quite pleased with the results of their efforts. This is where that proverb 'don't write a check, your behind can't cash' comes into play.
