Royce 5'9" is gearing up to drop his first solo album in two years, Book of Ryan, and Friday (March 23), he released the video for "Boblo Boat" featuring J. Cole, the lead single from the project.

The banger has been teased since last July and finally released to the masses earlier this month. The nostalgic track gets a nostalgic visual to match, as the J. Cole-directed video finds the two elite rhymers reminiscing about old times at an amusement park.

"Nothing compared to our family trips/My uncle shook hands with a manly grip/All this hand-me-down shit I had, had an uncanny fit," Royce spits over the 808 Ray and Cool & Dre-produced track. "On the Boblo boat/On our way to that Black amusement park/Wood roller coasters, crack sold on plastic scooter carts/Uh, smoking grass at the vintage food court."

In an alternate scene, the camera follows a group of teens as they come together for a night of fun, mischief and puppy love.

The video appears to have been directed by J.Cole himself. "Boblo Boat video. @Royceda59 let me direct this one. Thank you, I found my 2nd calling in the process," he said in a tweet on March 26.

Royce's new album Book of Ryan is set to drop of May 4 and will features the Slaugterhouse rapper getting a lot off his chest. "On 5-4-2018 I’m gonna take you guys on a journey," he captioned a clip of the "Boblo Boat" video on Instagram. "This album is everything I’ve been wanting to say but just couldn’t because I was either too drunk or too young to put it into words... All the hurt, all the pain and all the good times is what made me who I am. I’ve learned that timing is everything, patience is everything and family is everything ... From this point forward, I’m letting God take the wheel ... All the conversations in regards to my name is about to shift... I’m here to be great."
