In a recent interview with XXL, Detroit's own Royce da 5'9" opens up about his opinion on the Flint Water Crisis, and says it’s a testament to young black lives being treated like guinea pigs.

Shortly after his performance at The Whiting for #JusticeForFlint,Shady Records artist Royce da 5'9" sat down with XXL to share his thoughts on what he calls "Nothing short of an act of terrorism."

Our lives don’t matter. All of these things aren’t coincidence. There are ulterior motives, like moving people out of these communities. It’s always some greater power move aligned with these types of situations, and the lives that are lost during that shit just shows how disposable we can be. So we gotta stand up and fight that shit. - Royce Da 5'9"

Royce came to Flint and put a show on for the people during #JusticeForFlint, an event that was held at The Whiting and raised over $150,000 for the Flint Water Crisis. Royce also says that he can't imagine this happening to his 18 year old son

I got a son that’s 18 years old. I don’t want my son to die from lead poisoning. - Royce Da 5'9"
