Royce Da 5'9" will release his new album Layers next month, but he's got a special treat for fans in the meantime. The Detroit rapper debuts a new song called "Which Is Cool" produced by Nottz with an accompanying video. While it won't appear on Layers, the track could pop up on his Trust The Shooter EP.

The music video sees Royce Da 5'9" walking into a corner store and running down everyone in the place with some harsh truths. No one is safe here as Royce is an equal opportunity offender here. The Slaugterhouse member even has some bars targeted at anyone using ghostwriters, which is not the first time Royce has addressed the subject.

The PRhyme rapper was recently asked about Drake's use of a ghostwriter. Royce said it took Drake out of the conversation as a top lyricist, but the reactions surprised him.

"For me to look and see the way that everyone reacted to that, that was pretty fuckin’ surprising," he said. "And it made me not care. When I first heard about it, I was like, ‘What? Drizzy not writing?!’ Because he’s so fuckin’ dope. Looking back at it in retrospect, it’s a new way of creating. I guess hip-hop is evolving a little slower than other genres and if this is what it’s evolving into, I accept it. I choose not to work like that. There’s a certain fulfillment I get from writing myself but I do understand going out and partying, staying in tune with what’s going on outside the booth while people are working inside the studio then coming back and A&R’ing the whole shit and producing the song, that’s a beastly ass way of working. I just get fulfillment out of writing."

The new Royce Da 5'9" album Layers drops April 15. You can pre-order it now on iTunes.
