Rumors That Cedar Point Is Removing ‘Shoot The Rapids’ Water Ride [Video]

Shoot The Rapids, one of the few remaining water coasters at Cedar Point, is reportedly being torn town right now.

The Sandusky Register is reporting that crews started tearing down the ride on Tuesday.

Officials from Cedar Point have not commented on the report about the destruction, or what may replace Shoot The Rapids.  Their official statement only mentioned Valravn.

Our focus is on the construction of Valravn, our record-breaking dive coaster. We have not announced any changes regarding our current ride lineup

Shoot The Rapids debuted in June of 2010, and was close to being shut down after an accident in 2013.

My family and I were at Cedar Point this summer and actually rode Shoot The Rapids.  It's crazy to think that the next time we visit, the ride won't even be in the park anymore.  Check out the video of the grand opening.
