Officials in Saginaw have decided that all businesses in the city will be required to have security cameras installed.

The new city ordinance is aimed toward cutting down on crime in the city. The cameras would be installed on the inside and outside of buildings to give police an extra set of eyes when trying to solve a crime.

The ordinance calls for most businesses to install a minimum of three cameras. One on the front door, one on the cash register, and one in the parking lot. The ordinance was passed on February 19th, and businesses are required to have the cameras up and running by February 28th, 2019.

This has supposedly caused a drop in crime rates in other cities, do you think it will have the same result in Saginaw?
