‘Selfie,’ and ‘Hashtag’ Get Added to Merriam-Webster Dictionary

When you thought your words were merely slang, think again.  Merriam-Webster dictionary are making our beloved digital themed words official.  Now selfie and hashtag along with many more are added to the dictionary.

Merriam-Webster has revealed which words will be added to their 2014 edition and some of them I did not know about.  If you're from Michigan you should know what a Yooper is, right?

I would like to nominate the word 'chatty' into the dictionary for next year's addition.  I would define chatty as anything that is not pleasant and anti-cool.  Who's with me?
