Six shots were fired in the parking lot following an argument between a group of girls, and one high school aged boy was grazed by a bullet.

The shooting happened after the Beecher vs Hamady basketball game on Tuesday night, but had nothing to do with the game itself.

ABC12 reports that everything started when a group of girls starting arguing, and eventually fighting in the parking lot following the game.

Security was quick to approach the scene, but then six shots rang out from the crowd. A high school aged boy was grazed by a bullet, but luckily will be OK.

I feel like it's worth saying again, that the shooting had nothing to do with either Beecher or Hamady schools. The security that was at the game responded quickly to the incident and handled it as well as possible.

ABC12 Sports reporter, Jason Lewis was in the parking lot at the time of the shooting. Check out his eye witness account here.
