There is a heated debate going on in Michigan right now over the law requiring motorcycle riders to wear a helmet.

Michigan is one of 20 states that requires all riders to wear a helmet, but that may change if Governor Snyder approves a bill when it gets to him.

His predecessor, Jennifer Granholm, vetoed repeals to the helmet law two separate times during her time in office.

The latest version of the bill would make it so riders over 21 could go without a helmet if they were properly insured.

Governor Snyder hasn't given any clues as to how he will approach the bill, but most of it supporters are staying optimistic.

I personally have no idea why anyone would want to ride without a helmet on, but I would love to get your opinion.
