In November, T.I. called out Lil Wayne following remarks Weezy made in regard to the Black Lives Matter movement, saying he did not feel connected to it. T.I. penned a lengthy Instagram post in which he said, "I don't know what you goin thru,or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable!!!!" Appearing on Sway's Universe above, Tip clarifies his post and the rationale behind it.

"That was the most difficult thing that I’ve had to do," he says, explaining that he considers Wayne one of his partners in rap and that he has love and respect for him. "It was a knee jerk reaction because I was confronted by my kids asking about it." He goes on to explain that he had previously commented on Wayne's remarks saying he had never experienced racism by defending him, saying that Wayne wasn't prepared for the question and needed to clarify himself. But then additional comments came out, leading to T.I.'s social media response.

"One thing I will not do, I ain’t gonna let nobody sit around and bash bro," T.I. continues above. "I feel like I have that relationship with him where I can say that. I’m not gonna sit around and listen to nobody else say that. However he feel about me saying that, me and him we can deal with that when we see each other. He still a legend, he still in my eyes one of the greatest to ever do what we do. In a way I kinda did it so the people wouldn’t be able to do it. I felt like everything I said I said out of love. And I used Instagram as a forum because it was such a public matter. It wasn’t really me speaking to him as much as it is speaking to the kids I know that’s following him."
