Earlier this month, T.I. dropped a scandalous promo video for his Dime Trap album that featured a scantily-clad look-alike of First Lady Melania Trump giving him a lap dance in the Oval Office. The clip drew the ire of Mrs. Trump's team and now the actress who played the role is reportedly receiving death threats.

Melanie Marden spoke with TMZ in an interview posted on Sunday (Oct. 21) and revealed how hectic things have gotten since the video dropped.

"Yeah, I have had some death threats. I have spoken about it, actually. And there's more today, it's lovely," she said sarcastically. "It's unbelievable that people take this so seriously, you know. I'm an independent woman trying to make a living and feed myself. I look after myself. It's surprising that people have this much time to focus on someone who took an acting job versus where is the cure for cancer."

The First Lady's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham was not happy with the video writing on Twitter at the time, "How is this acceptable? #disgusting #boycottT.I. @Tip."

Marden commented on the reaction saying, "I'm surprised that the lady that works with the First Lady has the time to comment on rap videos. That's sad."

She added, "The actual music video was one thing, but I think the way it was presented by T.I., I think, was maybe more of the issue. Because it was directed at [President Trump] and I think it got their attention."

Marden goes on to say she has no regrets and she is currently working on a passion project about the cure for cancer.
