Surprise! 20th Century Fox has delivered the first full trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence (not related to Toho’s Godzilla: Resurgence, unfortunately) a wee bit earlier than previously planned. The trailer was going to debut in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens later this week, but early Christmas has come early, and our ol’ alien pals are back.

I actually saw someone post on Facebook that 13 years ago today, Bill Pullman led the world to independence against an alien invasion . . . and that was the real reason we celebrate. While I'm 90% sure he was kidding (only 90 because you just never know), the idea does have some merit.  Some people took it to the streets of NYC to see if they could inspire people.
