As the news of the death of entertainment icon Dick Clark begins settling in, some are wondering if the technology that brought Tupac Shakur to Coachella last weekend could be used to allow Clark to appear on ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,’ the show he hosted since 1974. Ace Showbiz notes that many in the Twitter universe have expressed their desire to see a hologram of Clark on this year’s broadcast of the program, which Ryan Seacrest has co-hosted with Clark since 2006.

Dick Clark died yesterday morning at the age of 82. To call him an entertainment legend would be doing him a disservice.

Dick Clark was more than that, I don't really know how to put it into words, but he was above entertainment. I know that I'm not the only one who feels that way, especially by the outpouring on Twitter from celebrities.
