The Apple App Store Hits 10 Billion Downloads

The Apple app store hit the 10 billion downloads mark....probably when I bought Angry Birds last week, but that isn't confirmed yet! If you own an iPhone then you know exactly what I'm talking about!!

Apple gave the 10 billionth person to download an app a $10,000 gift card to its iTunes store. The winner was a woman from the UK who downloaded a free game app called Paper Glider.

The company has sold tens of millions of iPhones since it debuted in 2007. It's also expanding apps with the iPad. The store now has more than 350,000 different programs for the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
