Do you prefer pie or strudel? It’s a valid question. If you ask the faceless horde over at Yahoo! Answers, the correct response is pie (and it isn’t really even that close). But if you ask Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them character  —  and noted muggle  —  Jacob Kowalski, there’s nothing that hits the spot quite like a piping hot strudel for dinner. The secret ingredient? Why, magic, of course.

In this brand new clip from the upcoming film (via Coming Soon), we see the balance struck between the world of wizards and the world of the muggles. Characters like Jacob Kowalski not only know of the powers of those around them, they approach it with a mixture of jealousy and awe. The world of the muggles has always been held a bit separate from the Harry Potter movies, serving as either that franchise’s version of a cold open or as a quick reminder of the power hidden beneath the calm surface of their reality. If clips like this give any indication, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will give us a world where those who use magic and those who don’t operate in better balance.

Here is the full plot synopsis for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

The film stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, and Ezra Miller and will hit theaters on November 18, 2016.
