As T.I. was leaving Le Jardin in Hollywood yesterday (Nov. 10), he spoke with TMZ reporters about the new president-elect, Donald Trump.

TMZ asks the Atlanta rapper why he decided to join the anti-Trump protest in NYC earlier on Thursday. T.I. responds, "I think for the most part it's just to show the nation the disapproval for the selection that has been made and how much objection that has been concurred by the people. But me myself personally, I just wanted to be able to look my kids in the eyes and tell them that I did everything that he constitution allows me to do."

The reporter then asks Tip what his biggest fear is about a Trump presidency. T.I. replies, "The insurgence of all of the dark-cornered, racist, white supremacists and the oppressors that exist in the nation - just that they feel they have a spokesperson. And that can be dangerous ... God is in control of all. And every war has casualties on both sides."

In case you missed it, you can go back to watch and read in more detail about how T.I. got involved in the protest on Thursday. In an Instagram post, T.I. writes, "‘She got more votes’ ‘we reject the president elect’ The people ain’t goin for it….I’m right here wit em!!!!” he wrote. In another video, T.I. says, “This ain’t supposed to be how people react to the election of the president. This ain’t what we built up for, this ain’t what we about. This some bullshit.”

On Tuesday night, when the presidential election result became clear, T.I. addressed an IG post to President Obama and First Lady Michelle, typing, “We sorry guys ... I swear on my life, If I could’ve done more I would’ve. We all deserve better. We just gotta live through this & prepare ourselves for what’s next. We appreciate what you guys tried to do for US ALL as a nation."
