Trump Talks About U.S. Cruise Missile Strike Against Syria [Video]

President Trump ordered a U.S. missile strike against Syria on Thursday, targeting the source of a chemical weapon attack earlier this week.

The missile strike was a direct response to a chemical attack that killed at least 100 Syrians, many of whom were innocent women and children.

Trump addressed the nation concerning the attack saying,

Tonight I ordered a targeted military strike on the airfield in Syria from where the chemical attack was launched. It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons

The initial reports from the military are that the Syrian airbase was nearly destroyed.

The reaction from Americans has been mixed from all out praise for Trump, to calling him a hypocrite for launching an attack after criticizing President Obama for doing the same thing.

The toughest part of this strike is that it has raised tensions between Russia and the U.S.  Things have been shaky at best between the two countries, and this could make things turn even uglier.
