Just short of Throwback Thursday comes the handiwork of one Reddit user on the HipHopHeads forum, who has discovered six previously unreleased songs from Tyler, The Creator's old MySpace page. The account is titled "I Smell Panties" and features tracks with such titles as "Bapes Freestyle," "Hi to Me" and "Lisa."

The songs showcase Tyler's early ability to compose arrangements and feature his penchant for obscenities and bizarre vignettes. The songs vary in length, some ideas, like "Lilo Fucks Stitch," more off than others. In the original Reddit post, the songs are said to be from 2008, which would put them about a year-plus ahead of Tyler's first album, Bastard, which was released in December of 2009.

Above all else, the half dozen tracks remind of Odd Future's break into hip-hop. The collective leveraged Tumblr and other Internet platforms into mainstream success. MySpace was an early showcase for emerging artists and so it would make sense that Tyler was posting music there.

In the time since, Tyler has expanded his output to include a clothing line, Golf Wang's 2016 winter collection previewed in a new look book released earlier this month. He also started the annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, which this year included performances from Lil Wayne, Chance the Rapper, A$AP Rocky and more.
