Last time I checked shooting an innocent person is considered a crime, even if you are a police officer.

A University of Cincinnati Police Officer has been indicted for fatally shooting a Cincinnati man during a traffic stop. In the body cam footage you can see Officer Ray Tensing  approach the driver and ask for his license. When the man stated the he doesn't have his license, the police officer demanded the driver provide his license once again. The officer asks the man to take his seat belt off, in which the driver held the door closed and attempted to drive away. Officer Tensing then fired a shot which hit the driver. The officer then chased the suspect down as the car smashed into a telephone pole. The officer claims he was forced to fire his weapon after almost being run over.

Although the officer did find a liquor bottle in the driver's vehicle before the man sped off, not having a license and having alcohol in your car is no reason to shoot someone. Ever. It's really unsettling to see cases like this happen almost weekly in America. Lets hope the court system gives this man's family the justice they deserve.
