In March we shared news that the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. would be retold in an upcoming USA Network series called Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac.

A little before then, Marcc Rose — who played Pac in Straight Outta Compton — was recruited, as was newcomer Wavyy Jonez, who's playing Biggie.

Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, actors Jamie McShane and Brent Sexten have been added to the cast. Mchane will be playing Russell Poole's partner Fred Miller, while Sexton will portray Brian Tynall, a homicide detective who also worked with Poole. Poole was the lead investigator on the Biggie Smalls murder—he passed away in 2015.

As we previously reported, Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac is based on the actual accounts of Greg Kading, an LAPD detective who spearheaded the murder investigations of both Biggie and Pac. He also penned a book titled Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations and alleged that Diddy put a hit out Pac and Suge Knight, which is something the Bad Boy mogul has always denied.

An exact release date hasn't been given for the upcoming Unsolved series as of yet.
