JAY-Z delivered a triumphant set at the 2017 Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York on Friday (Sept. 15). As we reported earlier, Hov performed all of his classic hits and blended them with tracks from his stella 4:44 album.

One standout moment of the night was when JAY-Z, performed the polarizing 4:44 track “Story of OJ.” He dedicated the song to Colin Kaepernick and Dick Gregory, two activists who have made it their life's work to shine a spotlight on some of the social issues facing black America.

“I want to dedicate this song to Colin Kaepernick tonight,” Hov said before performing the song. “I want to dedicate this [song] to Dick Gregory. I want to dedicate this song to anyone that was held back and you overcame."

During his performance, JAY brought out Bob Marley's son, Damian, for a rousing performance of "Bam" and then "Welcome to Jamrock." The rap veteran ended his show with a rendition of "Encore/Numb" his collaborative song with Linkin Park, and he dedicated to the group’s singer, Chester Bennington, who committed suicide last month.

If you were unable to catch JAY-Z's show, you can watch his entire Meadows Festival performance in full at Tidal. Enjoy!
