Well the Kanye and Kimmel interview actually happened, and it was as awkwardly genius as we all expected it to be.

Things started with Kimmel playing an old skit where Josh Groban sings the tweets of Kanye West.  A risky move on Kimmel's part, considering it was a skit about Kanye that started this whole thing anyway.

Kanye later admitted that in his initial angry phone call to Kimmel, he took out all of his pent-up anger with the media on the late night host, saying "We kind of just took it back to high school for a minute."

Kimmel told Kanye, "A lot of times, I think you bring it on yourself.  I don't know if you know this but a lot of people think you're a jerk."

"When you said you think you're a genius, I think that upsets people," Kimmel said. "But the truth is a lot of people think they're geniuses, but nobody says it because it's weird to say it. But it is most certainly more honest to say, 'I am a genius.'"

Kanye seemed to take it in, and said:  "I'm totally weird and totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes, and the thing is for me not to say I'm not a genius I'd be lying to you and to myself."

Kim Kardashian, racism and the paparazzi all came up in the conversation and considering how this all started . . . I think it ended rather well.
